After a superb days riding/racing on Sunday on a dusty dry track….it was Ben Hall who came out on top to be CHR club champ for 2014 but he was made to fight all the way with Joe Mallen 2nd and Steven Turnbull in 3rd….full run down of times can be found HERE

The first round of the national enduro series was at Ae last weekend with 3 CHR members competing in a stacked field of over 300 riders, it would appear the level has risen again over the winter with just about everyone having put in the training hours……results can be found on ROOTS AND RAIN
With the season now in full swing, we had members competing at the British Downhill Series Rd1 at Antur Stiniog last weekend, James Purvis getting our best result there with a 2nd in Youth and we also had members at NDH Enduro Rd1 at Hamsterley Forest with Chris Briers getting the clubs best time here…..BDS results can be found HERE and NDH Enduro results HERE
The first big race of the season went off last weekend with a big CHR contingent taking part with mixed results, a few crashes on race runs and limited practice due to lack of marshalls seemed to be the main reasons but that didnt stop James Purvis winning the youth category and Sam Green taking a great 5th in seniors……all the results can be found on ROOTS AND RAIN

For those not familiar with NDH’s TT races these are the perfect starter race for those who have always fancied a go at racing without having to worry about line choices or hard technical pieces of track its also a good day hanging out with your mates and it was good to see CHR had a few members taking part in last weekends event…some of these competing for the first time.
The weather was kind once again last Sunday and over 40 club members took part in another great timing day…….congratulations to James Purvis for setting the fastest time on his hardtail……all times are posted on the forum. Next date is Sun 20th Apr.
Dates for these are now up on the club info page, due to increased membership these will be members only for 2014.
