The final Summer club timing day is on 28th Sept so if you havnt already done it, its time to get your name down.
Congratulations to CHR member James Purvis, who riding for Santa Cruz UK took the Youth National Champs title at Innerleithen yesterday!! Also some great times n positions for the other CHR riders…..well done!
Just under 2 weeks to get names in fro the next club timing day, Sunday 27th July is the date.
Just a message to CHR member Shane Craig who had a big off at the Llangollen BDS a couple of weeks ago, fracturing one vertebrae and compressing another, 6 months with a back/body cast and then a further 12 months of no sport, all our best wishes for a full recovery.
You gotta luv a good trail hound….the training partner that never says no!!

We have that many members doing that many races, its impossible to keep up with the results so here are some from the bigger events :-
BDS Rd2 Fort William – Massive national race with an international field using it as prep for the World Cup round here, no luck for CHR members though, Joe Mallen continueing his good form with a solid result but Steven Turnbull and Shane Craig both having big crashes that costs them new helmets + James Purvis 1st in seeding but crashed on race run…not the best weekend for CHR!
UK Gravity Enduro Rd2 Innerleithen – Good CHR turnout for this one on 5 stages that are pretty much old skool DH tracks, Alan Turnbull goes 2nd in seeding for Grand Vets but chain problems on race day mean he slips back to 6th, best national result of 14th for Michael Strangeways in Vets with Jim Nicholls close behind in 17th, Bob Ellison also manages an incident free weekend for a great 26th in Senior.
Usual track at Ae and mixed results for the CHR riders on this relativley short track, James Purvis taking the win in Youth and following that up with a massive crash on his 2nd run (see vid). Joe Mallen creeping up the leaderboard in Experts as he gets to grips with his new bike and Shane Craig cracks the top 10 in Senior for his best result of the season to date! Full results are on ROOTS and RAIN
Once again the weather was kind to us yesterday and despite some members away racing BDS Rd2 at Fort William we still had 35 members taking part, congratulations to Callum Scott for posting the fastest time of the day.
Another great weekends racing….but def not for the faint hearted……steep, muddy and technical is the order on these tracks….trail centre warriors need not apply!!! Some great results once again for the CHR all now up on ROOTS AND RAIN
